What is the purpose of the Fire & Ice Ball?
The Fire & Ice Ball is the annual fundraiser for the club’s scholarship fund. The scholarship fund provides financial assistance to players who would not be able to participate otherwise. Based on the success of the last event, we were able to award over $25,000 in scholarships to IFA players. These are not skill based scholarships, but needs based. We were happy to be able to help players who faced financial challenges due to parent job losses, family illness that resulted in income changes, changes to living arrangements that resulted in income changes and other financial challenges.

How much are tickets and what is included?
All tickets include admission to the event, heavy appetizers and a fun evening including our silent and live auctions, games, and more!
We have a few different ticket options:
Single Ticket: $155
Couples ticket: $300
VIP Experience: $50 (does not include admission)
Sponsorship: $1,000 - $2500 which includes admissions and recognition for your business.

What should I wear?
The Lucas Estate is truly a special location and lends itself to a special night. We are requesting cocktail attire but you are free to consider black tie. It’s been a long few years since the last Fire & Ice and we are all ready to get dressed up and enjoy a night out!

Several people on my team want to come and sit together. How can we do that?
The event is a cocktail reception, so we’ll have some tables and some stand up cocktail tables available to enjoy the hors d’oeuvres and drinks. But this is not a seated dinner with assigned tables to allow people to mingle and socialize.

What sort of items are available in the auction?
Each IFA team has prepared a themed gift basket for the silent auction. You’ll be able to check out all of the auction items a few days in advance of the event.
Our live auction items include signed jerseys and other sports memorabilia that will only be available for bidding at the event.

Do I have to attend the auction if I want to bid on an item?
The silent auction is open to all, whether or not you’re in attendance. The live auction is for event attendees only.

If I win an auction item, do I have to bring it home with me that evening?
No! At the event more information will be provided about other opportunities for pick-up.

Because this is held at the Lucas Estate, what about parking? Should I plan to Uber?
The Lucas Estate is a beautiful property that covers many acres. Our event will be in one of the buildings near the main house. Part of your admission includes valet service! If you do choose to Uber, there will be a designated area for Uber drivers to drop off and pick up. There are no concerns for parking - just that everyone makes plans to stay safe.
